On Thursday, 23th of March, 2017, Dr. Ayad Kamel Ibrahim, a lecturer from the department of Islamic studies, at the University of Zakho, participated in the Interational Scientific Conference at the University of Karbala with his research entitled "Method of moderation in the fight against religious extremism".

It is worth mentioning that this conference was organized by the center of Strategic Research at the University of Karbala ,institute of Al-Furat for Development and Strategic Studies, and Al-Naba"a Foundation for Media and Culture under the motto " Religious and political moderation is our way to civil peace and civilizational progress ". Furthermore, many lecturers, professors and experts from inside and outside Iraq government participated in this conference and many constrictive discussions were argued in the conference.
